A Problematic Tale of 2 Economies

Why do my kids peer into a full refrigerator each day and exclaim, “There is nothing to eat!”? Because they are not qualified to make meals from the raw materials in the refrigerator, not because there isn’t any food. Why do economists peer into the job market and explain,”There are not enough jobs!”? Because many looking for work are not qualified for the jobs available. Skilled labor is in high demand. People that have certain skills are employed, and their wages are rising. Job openings are at record levels.
